About the American Advertising Awards

The American Advertising Awards (AAA) are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local competitions. The mission of the competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

Now in its 50th year, Nashville’s American Advertising Awards ranks as one of the largest local competitions among nearly 200 competitions held across the country. It is the first of a three-tier, national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners compete against other winners from cities in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and other cities in Tennessee, which is one of 14 District competitions. The District ADDY® awards will be presented in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 10th. District winners are then forwarded to the third and final tier - the national competition.  National winners will be announced at ADMERICA! in Las Vegas on June 13th.
