Nashville ADDY Winners Announced

The Nashville advertising community gathered together on Saturday, February 25th to honor the foremost advertising work of the past year at the 52nd Annual Nashville American Advertising Awards. The festive event was held in downtown Nashville’s historic War Memorial Auditorium.

 

“This is a night to celebrate the wonderful talent we have in Music City. We have some of the top advertising talent in the country and it’s a privilege to show it off by honoring the hard of work of these men and women tonight,” said Joey Amato, President of the AAFN.

 

Among the awards are Best of Show, Judges’ Choice for Diversity, Art Director of the Year, Copywriter of the Year and the Legacy Award. Best of Show is given in broadcast, digital, and print advertising. The Legacy Award is an honor given to a brand that helped build Nashville.

 

The top award of the night, Overall Best of Show, went to The Buntin Group for their “Sovereign Campaign”.

 

“Everything about the Barrett Sovereign advertising suggests quality. It is nicely designed, beautifully illustrated, cleverly written and consistent in its presentation of the brand. Like the product it supports, the work has been carefully crafted with thoughtful attention to detail.” A judge, Craig MacIntosh, said of the campaign.

 

The Buntin group also walked away with the most honors of the night. They earned 42 total ADDY awards throughout the night. DVL Seigenthaler received the second highest number with 36 total honors Saturday.

 

The judges of this years event are advertising professionals Sara Janssen, Jess Kaihoi, Jason Lee, Abe Levin, Craig MacIntosh and Scott Rodgers (read judges' bios)


The American Advertising Awards (AAA) are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local competitions. The mission of the competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.
