Lipscomb to Receive AAF Silver Medal

The American Advertising Federation Nashville will present its highest honor, the Silver Medal Award, to Jeff Lipscomb, the CEO and owner of GS&F. Lipscomb joined GS&F in 1985 and stepped into the role of president in 1995. He acquired the company with co-owner Roland Gibbons three years later. His leadership has been key in attracting such clients as Bridgestone, Nashville Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, A.O. Smith, International Comfort Products, the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, and the NHL’s Nashville Predators.  Jeff balances his interest in his clients with his desire to give back to the community; he is currently on the board of The Land Trust for Tennessee, 4:13 Strong and the American Cancer Society. He has also served as a board member on various civic organizations, including Second Harvest Food Bank, WPLN, the Red Cross, Friends Life, the Nashville Sports Council, and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.

“When it comes to someone who has affected so many for the greater good of our industry, it’s time we recognize Jeff for his endless contributions to our industry, our standards and most importantly— the community,” said Gregg Boling in his nomination letter. “It’s time we recognize a Nashville leader who has relentlessly strived to grow our industry.”

The AAF Silver Medal is a national award that is given by local chapters across the country. Since 1959 the AAFN Silver Medal Award has recognized men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. Nominations are accepted from AAFN members and past silver medalists. A committee of past silver medalists selects the winner each year.

Lipscomb will be presented the Silver Medal at next week’s Advertising Awards Luncheon, hosted by AAFN. The luncheon will be on Wednesday, June 28 at the Nashville City Club. Tickets are available from aafnashville.com or by calling 615-469-4040.
