Nominations Open for AAFN Legacy Award

AAF Nashville thinks it is important to pay homage to the companies that have “grown up” with the city of Nashville. Since 2015, AAFN has honored the brands that built Nashville with the presentation of the Legacy Award. Past winners include Purity Dairy (2015), Ryman Hospitality (2016) and Cracker Barrel (2017).

 

Nominations for the 2018 Legacy Award are accepted from members of AAFN and past Silver Medalists. They must be received by Friday, February 2, 2018. The award will be presented on March 3, 2018 during the Nashville Advertising Awards. Nomination letters should address the following criteria:

  • The company or “brand” must have started in Nashville and be locally owned at the time of it’s inception.
  • The brand must be at least 50 years old. If no longer in business, it must possess a legacy that is still remembered.
  • The brand may or may not have exceeded the boundaries of the city, state and country.
  • The company must be the type that advertises and sells a product or service that is available to the general public.
  • The company or brand must be recognizable to the general public.
  • The ad agency that works for the advertiser is irrelevant. The advertiser may or may not have switched ad agencies over the year, and the ad agency may or may not currently be based in Nashville.
